On Monday, September 22, 2014, the Rotary Club of Fort Myers South welcomed its newest member Bryon McCartney.  Bryon is a partner and creative director at Brilliant Lens LLC, a branding, marketing and visual communications agency based in Fort Myers.  He is an award-winning designer, photographer and video producer with more than 25 years experience including serving as lead creative at Unilever NA and BBDO Switzerland. Alex Blagojevic joins Rotary South

On Monday, September 8, 2014, the Rotary Club of Fort Myers South welcomed new member Alex Blagojevic.  Alex is a senior vice president, financial advisor, and senior portfolio manager at the Morgan Stanley office on University Drive in Fort Myers. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in finance from Florida State University and a Master’s degree in theology, is a Certified Financial Planner professional, and holds the Chartered Financial Consultant designation. Originally from Paris, France, Alex is an avid tennis player – a K-Swiss Ultimate Tennis Champion at 5.0 level, is active in local charitable events and his church.  Alex lives in Fort Myers with his son Elias and wife Elizabeth Lilly who is a professional harpist and music instructor at Florida Gulf Coast University. Law and Order Ball recognizes Law Enforcement Heroes

Rotary Club of Fort Myers South will hold its second annual Law and Order Ball on Saturday, September 19, 2015,  at Harborside Event Center in downtown Fort Myers. All proceeds benefit the Rotary Club of Fort Myers South Foundation and Lee County law enforcement youth programs. The Law and Order Ball is an opportunity to thank the everyday heroes of our law enforcement agencies who keep us safe and enable us to build our businesses and thrive as a community. The agencies to be recognized are: Cape Coral Police Department, Florida SouthWestern State College Department of Public Safety, Florida Gulf Coast University Police Department, Fort Myers Police Department, Lee County Port Authority Police, Lee County Sheriff’s Office and Sanibel Police Department. Nominations are accepted from each agency for the “Officer of the Year” award. One special hero will be awarded and receive a custom designed piece by Rotarian Mark Loren, of Mark Loren Designs. This gala event includes cocktails and hors d’oeuvres, a sumptuous dinner, and a silent and live auction, and entertainment.
